FIRST FIJI US GIRMIT FESTIVAL IN BAY AREA Fiji Us Girmit Festival is proud to present first Fiji US Girmit Festival in Bay Area on Sat August 25, 2012 at Hayward Weekes Library, Patrick Avenue in Hayward. From 1 PM to 4.30 PM. Opening will be Fiji Hon. Consulate Dr. Raju with presentation by Hayward Kirtan Group, Fiji Artist Nisha Nigar. Singers: Jr. Kishore, Sainesh, Ashok, Razak and others will also entertain. It will also have a taste of Eid Celebration with Sewainya by Charlie Jahangir and sweets by Moon Indian Cuisine. Food will be served outside the Library by Fiji Sun. Limited capacity only first 100 will be admitted.

Iftar Dinner at Baitul Basir mosque attract local leaders . Close to 60 guest from local and interfaith communities attend the Annual Iftar Dinner at Baitul Basir mosque in Milpitas Saturday August 4, 2012. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community official gave an over view of the Ramadan. Several guest speakers spoke on the occasion expressing their pleasure for being invited. The event concluded with a final prayer by regional Imam, Mubashir Ahmad sahib.

AIM - The American Institute of Management is a a reconstitution of what was originally FIM - Fiji Institute of Management founded in 1983 by Dr. H. Koya then a trainer officer in Suva under the auspices of the Australian Institute of Management. Board members of FIM comprised of General Managers of Queensland Insurance Company, Colonial Mutual (Australia), Fiji Times, Burns Phillip, Carpenters Fiji Limited, Bank of  New Zealand and several senior staff of the University of the South Pacific.  Following the military coups in Fiji since 1987, most members of FIM took residency abroad and FIM became dysfunctional. Fortunately the FIM founder Dr. H. Koya on immigrating to US, reconstituted FIM as the American Institute of Management with same professional aims and ambitions. FIJI US WOMEN IN BUSINESS is a new feature of FIJISUN.ORG. We begin with a tribute to a most talented Fiji lady Nish Nigar of Stockton. I was blown away to learn that among her many talents, Nisha has natural flair for painting which she  perfected through some training a lots of practice. Here she seen gifted on of most recent paintings she did in three day for younger brother Khan who visited her last week (Aug 20,2012) from Sydney, Australia.
