Fiji Flood Disaster Fundraisers US Fiji citizens like all their overseas counterparts in NZ, Australia and Canada are very moved and touched by the last week's storm in Fiji that has flooded several towns and cities. The worst his areas as usual are Nadi, Ba and Lautoka. Aggressive fundraisers are being held by various individuals and organizations amid controversies, skepticism and suspicions about some people involved in these campaigns. IFFER''S VALENTINE'S DINNER The Steve Balram Singh led non-profit IFFER last night sponsored a Valentine's Night Dinner for Bay Area Fiji American friends including a fund raiser for Fiji Flood Disaster. Some 80 people attended the dinner and danced the night away but also gave some money to Steve's non-profit for Fiji. Funds can also be sent directly to FIJI PM's account.

God’s love By Pastor Henry Latchman of Rhema Bible Church, Hayward, CA Some years back I had an encounter with a person who said that if anyone can solve the world’s problem that person will be regarded as the greatest person on this earth.  I thought about the question and started to think in my mind if any such person ever existed.  Other questions such as,   where does all the wars and fights come from?  Why do people become sick and die?  To have peace in my heart   I would say to myself that eventually everybody will have to die one day.  But the questions of life still bothered my mind.  Is there a way out?  Who can bring world peace?   People have tried and are still doing their best to solve mankind’s problems.   Unfortunately no solid and lasting peace has s ever been created yet.   I started to search for answers to some of the questions ...

SAN BRUNO CITY PK HALL- As part of its continuing Islamic educational program, the AL MADINAH ACADEMY hosts monthly meetings at the City Reaction Hall here.  A select group of young students, mainly family members of the KADIR family did a wonderful NAATH presentation that followed Quran recital and speeches by a few young boys. Kadirs host Naath at Foster City

The KADIR BROTHERS of Al MADINAH ACADEMY led by Markar (Mark) Kadir, former police sergeant of Central Police Station, Suva, Fiji, held a wonderful NAATH sAT nOV 19, 2011 in Foster City. The event was attended by more than 50 guests most of whom read the NAATH. The Fiji Sun editor was also invited to give a shot presentation by the master of ceremonies Hajji Mohammed Aiyub. The editor read a few couplets from his NAATH in praise of the Holy Prophet of Islam and urged the audience to recite DAROOD event outside such gatherings on their own in abundance. He also urged the audience to invite (as commanded by Allah) others to Islam with wisdom.
